Gerard qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1981, and in 1984 set up practice under the name Hopkins Fagan. In 1984 he was joined by Steven O'Halloran and they have grown the company through several locations since. In 1990 Gerard received an MBA from Warwick University. Gerard's areas of speciality include business profiling and analysis, property and development finance and general business finance.

Steven O'Halloran qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1981 and spent a number of years in John Woods & Co., at which stage he specialised in taxation. As well as a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Steven is involved with the Institute of Taxation and is the Taxation Partner in Hopkins O'Halloran Group. His speciality areas include personal, corporate and development taxation.
